My son played inside a playpen, while I was working 12-hour shifts in sanding floors and removing wallpaper. Ha! Everything was starting to fall into place, however it was not quite done. The project would require money, effort, as well as my personal favorite for furniture to decorate this home. In order to keep my budget intact, I went with my three boys in search for bargains in estate sales. The schedule we had for the week which consisted of spending the week from Friday through Saturday at sale houses and garages, purchasing new and old items. I then spent the remainder of the week sanding and painting the driveway. My passion for restoration of furniture began with a look similar to this. Although our house was furnished, I could not quit. I had a space in the market at my local location and sold pieces there. Then I bought more that I knew about and had outgrown the space. In my own home, I began hosting open houses, where over 1,000 people were able to come in to purchase anything they wanted on the first floor over the course of a weekend. Growing Days is the result of this. Apart from my successful business, I also had the pleasure of growing our family. I was trying to find that perfect balance of what it was like starting a business and be a mommy too. Growing Days was the obvious decision. The year 2013 was the year my daughter Nora became our fourth daughter. Although I was happy with the direction that my business went, I was feeling like I needed to take some time off. I decided to take some time off from my vintage furniture and stay at home with the children. That was precisely what I was looking for. The phone rang again after some time. People contacted me asking for help with the interior design and renovations of their home. It was mostly those who visited my house for furniture. While I was working I began adding clients to my list each day. But it wasn't long before I managed multiple clients and ran a successful home remodeling business. When you first spoke to me about my business in home renovation, I laughed. As I think about the circumstances I am laughing.
